The Steve Summers Band

The Steve Summers Band are a top drawer blues/rock band headed up by Steve Summers’ dexterous guitar wizardry and authentic vocal. The band’s well-crafted songs sit comfortably between blues and rock and alongside some surprisingly eclectic cover material, highlighting not only the band’s musicality, but also its stylistic versatility.

Since the enforced hiatus of Long Road Home last year, guitarist Steve Summers has re launched his band using Long Road Home members Derek White on bass and Simon Needler on Hammond organ and piano. The band are augmented by Gareth Bateson on drums.

The band will be showcasing their new album 'Rewired', which features nine original songs and two blues and rock classics. Four of the tracks are recent recordings with the band’s new line up and the remainder are remastered tracks from Steve Summers Band’s previous albums. 'Rewired' presents a sense of the band’s live set and showcases former session musician Steve Summers, not only as a guitarist but also as a fine vocalist and songwriter.
