However, your booking came in to us AFTER the 6pm cut off and as, in tests we have made, the bookings come in almost instantaneously off the web site, we can only assume that your initial submission was after 6pm (if it was well before 6pm please let us know!).
"Advance" has to have a meaning. We cannot deem it "advance" if you book off your mobile while stood outside the door of the venue at 8.30 pm. It follows that we "Close the book" at 6pm on the day of the gig.
Booking, or a least trying to book, after 6 p.m. does cause us certain problems.
I do hope you enjoyed your evening BUT PLEASE next time you book make it before 6pm ON THE DOT
(and yes, I might have looked at my phone and added you to the list on the night in question if it was just after 6 p.m. but if you book late this is in no way guaranteed).
(In practice you may be interested to know that the main booking form for a gig is actually put together at about 10 a.m. on the day of the gig and then any persons booking between then at 6 pm are added at 6.05pm, the cut off being 6 pm on the dot.)

- Firstly when you arrive your name is not on the list on the door, so we are immediately in a confrontation.
- It also holds up any queue behind you that might be waiting to come in, and if the people behind you have quite genuinely NOT booked and we, notwithstanding your name not appearing on the list, let you in at the discount price the people behind you may start asking "difficult" questions.
- If we are sold out it can cause issues regarding fire regulations and numbers in the venue.
